This place is great! I'm new in the area and was trying to find a trustworthy mechanic. I made an appointment online for an oil change and diagnostic. I knew some of the work I needed done but I wanted to see what they would say. They where very fast with the oil change and when I decided to have more work done that day (new brakes) they finished that up jist as quickly. Very affordable, much less expensive than I thought it would be. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I usually don't like chains but I will definitely return here whenever I need work done.
If I can give it 0 stars, I would. I take it in because I was having issues with the starter and was told I need a new battery. FINE, after 2 days I get my car back (Apparently they were having issues installing the battery). Not even a half hour after driving my car, my check engine light goes on, then my car begins to heat up. I turn the car off and call them. They tell me i'm OK to drive..If my car heats up, to call them and get it towed. OK, I get to my destination and when i return to my car, it wouldn't start. Apparently they forgot to put coolant in my car. I get my car towed to them, at their cost. After 2 days i follow up (because they cant give you the courtesy of calling you) and i pick up my car. My car now has clacking noise, i take it to another mechanic who tells me that the oil leaked, which is common when this happens. Now my car will forever have this clacking noise.. nothing i can do about it. unless i spend hundreds and get the engine replaced. STAY clear of these places, go to an actual mechanic with experience.
I have used this Pep Boys location since they opened -- and if you go there you will be plesantly surprised. As a customer the only interaction you will have will be the front desk. This is incredibly challenging. The phone is ringing, customers are coming up to you; you are checking on the progress of other cars, you are calling customers .... it's not easy ... I can honestly say that Pep Boys Verona are always courteous, time sensitive and will contact me when the car is ready. A few weeks back I brougt in my Mercedes for an oil change. After I picked up the car there was an issue with the oil indicator. I took it back to them and no questions asked, they took care of the issue immidately. Then yesterday, Sunday, I took in my Saturn Ion and they changed my oil, rotated my tires, did an alighnment and cleaned and replaced my brake fluid in record time. Brought it in at 9 and it was ready by 11. I was able to use coupons I had as well. My hat goes off to Casear and Adriana Gass who are always so great to deal with and always very helpful. By the way, I bring my car in on Sunday morning, 9AM. Its very convenient. Think about it. When the rest of us are trying to recover from Saturday night, people like Casear, Adriana and the rest of the Pep Boys staff are there at 9 and on time. Thank you Pep Boys!

I went there today to change one of my tires and I was really pleased with the experience. The staff was friendly and polite. I didn't wait for long and they didn't try to sell me in changing more than one of my tires. They weren't too expensive and were very efficient. I'd definitely go back.
